Today, November 6, the Verschuren Centre (VC) welcomes ten First Nations high school students to the VC lab.  Dr. Martin Mkandawire, Industrial Chair of Mine Water Management/Associate Professor - Chemistry, along with Janice Basque, Liaison Officer, CBU’s Unama’ki College, organized an after school program where students will be involved with environmental related experiments in the Verschuren Centre labs.  The program involves two hands-on sessions per month.  First day orientation will involve VC staff introducing various programs and helping the students learn about the Centre’s work.

This is a collaborative effort between CBU’s Unama’ki College and the Verschuren Centre.
